BPC´s additional project halted in Andhikhola

SYANGJA: Locals of Andhikhola Water Users' Group created obstruction when the Butwal Power Company (BPC) was preparing for the capacity expansion of its project.
BPC has been producing electricity from Andhikhola situated at Jagatradevi-8 in Syangja district.
The locals obstructed the capacity extension project putting their 12-point demands, saying the BPC started its project expansion without agreeing with people of affected the areas. The project was preparing to generate 4.3 megawatt more electricity.
