CHITWAN: Newly formed CPN – Maoist General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' has claimed that the incumbent government would not be able to end present political crisis in the country.
Addressing a party workers' training at Ratnanagar, Chitwan today, leader Thapa stressed that the incumbent government should immediately step down and pave way for consensus.
"This government has already lost moral and constitutional ground to run the state and has failed to take other parties into confidence," said Thapa.
Political complexities have gripped the nation due to the incumbent government, he claimed, and demanded the formation of a national consensus government to complete the peace and constitution drafting processes.
Accusing UCPN ( Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai of turning to rightist ideology, Thapa said their break away from the UCPN ( Maoist) was for meeting the people's aspirations. Over 100 party cadres in eastern Chitwan are taking part in the meeting.
