KATHMANDU: Normal life has been hit hard in Far-west owing to the indefinite bandh enforced by the Far-west Ekata Samaj and the Samyukta Lotantrik Paribesh, enters the 6th consecutive day on Wednesday.

Ekata Samaj and Paribesh have called on shutdown protesting the UCPN-Maoist’s proposal to divide some parts of Kanchanpur and Kailali and include them in Tharuwan federal state during the state reconstructing process.

Passengers have been stranded in different places of the region due to the indefinite bandh which has brought the shortage of essential goods on top. Similarly health facilities in Dhangadi, Mahendranagar, Doti, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Achham, and Bajhang including other areas are running out of drugs.

Schools, markets, shops, educational institutions have been totally shutdown and Vehicular movement has been completely brought to stand still since the first day of shutdown.

Protesters are demonstrating in various parts of Dhangadi demanding unified far-west as well
