OKHALDHUNGA: Over 174 hectares of forest was destroyed when a major fire broke out in Okhaldhunga district, forest officials said. Assistant District Forest Officer Indradev Yadav said that bushfire that started since Monday had gutted forest in Toksel and Katunje VDCs. The inferno has completely damaged 11 hectares forest of Paharevir, Kopche and Kalikadevi in Katunje and 163 hectares jungle area in Raghpur Community Forest. Along with trees the fire destroyed precious herbs such as satuwa, chiraeto and dhupi.
