Body of missing child found in riverside

RATNANAGAR: A child, who had gone missing from Saturday from Narayangadh of Chitwan, was found dead at the banks of Narayani River today.
Kirtan Shrestha, 9, of Bharatpur-2 was found dead at the banks near Reiyukai building, according to the police.
Police suspect that he died after falling while playing at the river banks. Shrestha was a student of grade three at Balkumari School, Narayangadh.
The body of the child has been kept at Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, a person died after he drowned in Rigdi rivulet, according to the District Police Office.
The deceased has been identified as Samrat Dhakal of Bharatpur Municipality-12.The incident took place after he drowned in the rivulet while taking a bath, when he had gone to swim in the rivulet in Dahakhani from Bharatpur.
