BIRGUNJ: A sutali bomb planted by an unidentified outfit went off in the heart of Birgunj on Sunday, targeting to shake up the general assembly of Rastriya Janaprajatantrik Party.

The explosion took place near the statue of late Ram Janam Tiwari at 2:05 pm, injuring at least person and throwing the locals into a state of intense fear.

Following the explosion, the party put off its general assembly.
