DHADING: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that revival of the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) was necessary as there is no provision of re-elections of the CA in the Interim Constitution.
“The revival of the CA is necessary to amend the constitution even to go for the fresh elections”, said Deuba while speaking at a press meet organized by the Nepal Press Union, Dhading Chapter on Monday.
Leader Deuba was of the opinion that the CA should be revived only for short duration to amend the interim constitution.
At a time when other NC leaders were voicing for fresh elections, Deuba said that he was in favor of the CA resurrection for constitution's amendment.
Deuba claimed that he has no dispute with party President and Vice-President.
He clarified that he called the meeting of former lawmakers to listen to their opinions on present political crisis.
