KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Council of Ministers, on Monday, formed a three member talks-team with the coordination of Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Satya Pahadi in order to hold talks with various agitating groups in Tarai/Madhes
Other members of the talks team are Minister without portfolio Raj Lal Yadav and Minister of State for Home Affairs Bhim Raj Chaudhari Rajbansi, informed Education Minister Dina Nath Sharma.
Similarly, the government accepted Rs 17.3 million provided by the British Government for a programme on reduction of climate change risk and Rs 38.4 million by the Finnish Government for a project on transmission reform.
Likeise, the meeting of the Council of Minister appointed Radhes Pant as executive chief of the Investment Board, Devendra Kumar Yadav of Sarlahi district as general manager of Rural Housing Company and Siyaram Prasad Singh as general manager of the Dairy Development Board.
Similarly, the meeting approved the resignation tendered by Vice-Chairman of Poverty Alleviation Fund Bidhya Dhar Mallik.
Minister Sharma further said the meeting decided to provide remoteness allowance to the teachers in Achham and Jajarkot districts equal to the civil servants.
