KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers will take place in a while to discuss ways for bringing the budget for this fiscal year, Minister for Communication and Information Raj Kishor Yadav said on Thursday.
The Cabinet meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the office of prime minister in Singha Durbar.
The meeting will also dwell over efforts to forge a national consensus for unveiling the full budget, Yadav further said.
The Cabinet meeting has been called at a time when opposition parties have been alleging that caretaker Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai does not have the right to bring the budget through ordinance.
For them, PM Bhattarai has been already relieved of his duty on May 27’ after the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly that doubled as Parliament.
They have already urged President Ram Baran Yadav to block this fiscal’s budget.
Oppositions believe that the government is trying to bring the budget unconstitutionally.
