KATHMANDU: A Cabinet meeting today transferred eight secretaries, designated four as secretaries at different ministries and appointed five joint-secretaries as heads of five regional administration offices.

Nabin Ghimire of the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nathu Ram Chaudhari of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to Public Service Commission and Dharanidhar Khatiwada of the Ministry of General Administration and Madhav Regmi of the Ministry of Defence to the Office Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Similarly, Tilak Ram Sharma has been brought to MoD from Mid-West Regional Administrative Office, Ganesh Raj Joshi has been moved from the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation to MoAC, Yagya Gautam has been transferred from Public Procurement Office to MoTCA and Krishna Chandra Paudel of the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation has been given the responsibility of East Regional Administrative Office.

Four fresh secretaries, who were promoted two months ago, have been assigned to different ‘important’ places. Surya Silwal has been posted at the Ministry of Information and Communications, Gyan Darshan Udas at the Election Commission, Durganidhi Sharma at MoGA and Dhana Bahadur Tamang has been posted at Public Procurement Office.
