DHADING: Five people lost their lives and one sustained injuries on Wednesday night after the car they were riding on plunged into the Trishuli River at Krishna vir, the accident-prone cliff at Dhusha of Dhading along the Prithivi highway.
The car had plunged 100 meters down the road, police said.
The doomed car (Ga 1 ja 4879) heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara met the tragedy at around 9 pm killing five passengers identified as Krishna Dawadi, Sanjeeb Dawadi, Rabindra Dawadi of Chainpur VDC in Dhading district, Raj Kumar Shrestha of Benighat, and Ramesh Prashad Dhungana of Lekhnath Muncipality.
Deepak Gurung of Dhading has been injured in the mishap. He is receiving treatment at Gajuri Hospital.
Gurung will be ferried to Kathmandu for further treatment, Dhading police said.
