After the bandh enforcers forced to shut down the market places‚ the locals had retaliated with them which led to the clash.

LALITPUR: A social harmony rally has been organised at Imadol, Gwarko in the district following a clash between the bandh (general shutdown) enforcers and the people protesting the bandh.


The rally begun from Imadol was taken to Gwarko, Balkumari, Satdobato and the vicinity.


Hundreds of locals participated in the harmony rally.


After the Gwarko area saw clashes, high security alert is being maintained with the mobilisation of a large number of police persons, said Metropolis Police Premises Jawalakhel.


The bandh organised by the indigenous nationalities' joint struggle committee led by the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has paralyzed normal life in Lalitpur as well.


After the bandh enforcers forced to shut down the market places, the locals had retaliated with them which led to the clash.


Meanwhile, the bandh enforcers vandalised a vehicle belonging to the News 24 Television at Satdobato.
