KATHMANDU: Classic College made it to the girls’ final of the first Pyramid Inter-college 3x3 Basketball Tournament on Wednesday. Classic edged out NASA 9-7 in the semi-finals with Sabina Tamang netting seven points. Classic will take on the winners of the second semi-finals between Saipal ‘B’ and Golden Gate. Likewise, Morgan ‘A’ and Trinity ‘A’ set the title match in the boys’ section. Morgan beat their ‘B’ team 18-13 with Narhari Gautam scoring a match-high 10 points, while Tenzing Yeshi scored seven points to help Trinity overcome National College ‘B’ 14-10.

Media Cup Football

LALITPUR: Karan Dhungana struck a hat-trick as Avenues Television hammered Radio Upatyaka 7-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the fifth Media Cup Knockout Football Tournament here on Wednesday. Diwakar Shah and Srihari Thapa also scored two goals each for Avenues. Joining them in the last eight were South Asian Sport Journalists Association, Nepal who edged Karobar Daily 1-0 on a solitary goal from Rajesh Thapa. —
