KATHMANDU: The leaders of the three major parties have declared that consensus on state restructuring would be reached on Saturday.
The leaders expressed the confidence about the consensus following a meeting of the three parties held at the Vice Chairperson of the Constituent Assembly, Purna Kumari Subedi's chamber at Singh Durbar today.
Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel said efforts would be made to forge consensus in the meeting of the Dispute Resolution Sub-committee scheduled for this evening.
He added that although they have been taking stance on the eight provinces, discussions are being held on the 11 provinces proposal for consensus.
President of the CPN-UML Jhala Nath Khanal also said efforts would be made to forge consensus on the state restructuring today alone.
Leaders of the UCPN-Maoist and the Nepali Congress are holding discussions now following the three-party meeting.
