JANAKPURDHAM: Minister for Information and Communication Raj Kishore Yadav today assured the timely delivery of the statue.
Speaking at a press meet, Minister Yadav said, political parties have been working hard to promulgate the new constitution on the slated time. Although issues such as ruling system and state restructuring were co-mplex, parties have come close to the agreement.
Yadav went on to say that the leaders of major political parties have been discussing on the complex issues for the last two days.
If the Nepali Congress and UML agree to soften their stands on certain issues, then there won’t be any problems in drafting the statue on time, he said. “If scholars suggest some viable option to Madhesi Morcha leaders, then they can think of some alternative to ‘One Madhesh One Pradesh’ stance,” Yadhav said. However, no such option has been forwarded yet, he added.
Making the party’s stand clear, Yadav said, “We will not compromise on one Madhes state,” adding, “Such a constitution that splits Madhes would not be promulgated.” According to him NC, UML and UCPN-Maoist have different views regarding the ruling system, but Morcha has been trying to find the middle path.
