Constitution will come despite conspiracy: Lekhak

KIRTIPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ramesh Lekhak has asserted that constitution would be promulgated in the stipulated time despite any conspiracy.



At a talk programme organised here on Saturday by the NC, Kathmandu, Constituency 10 and Kirtipur town committee on 'NC's role in contemporary politics', leader Lekhak expressed his confidence that the statute would be promulgated as per the aspiration of Nepali people.


Stressing that the country would take new stride through democratic constitution, he further said there is no alternative to frame constitution reflecting democratic norms and values.


Meanwhile, NC central member and lawmaker Gagan Thapa has underlined that the new constitution would establish equal right to education.



At a programme organised to mark the 23rd anniversary of Yagyamati Secondary School at Kapan in the Capital, he said there should be no discrimination in providing educational opportunities with respect to any caste, religion, gender and region, calling for the need of formulating policy to enhance access to education.



He argued environment ensuring equal education would not be established until enabling community schools.


On the occasion, winners of different competition, social workers and journalists were felicitated.
