Cops clash with armed miscreants

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested three persons including Suresh Lama of Nargo-9, Nuwakot district in possession of khukuris at Samakhusi.
The police team from Samakhusi rushed to the Nawa Jivan College at Samakhusi after they got information about some unidentified persons near the college with khukuris.
The area remained tense after the accused pelted stones at the police team during which three police personnel along with sub-inspector Hasta Bahadur Sunuwar were injured.
Those unidentified persons dispersed after police opened fire on them.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
