KATHMANDU: Police has arrested four persons on the charge of selling tiger skin and bones in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
The four are Sudarshan Budhathoki, Hari Magar, Sudip Jang Khati of Ganeshthan and Sitaram Thapa of Urleni, Nuwakot district.
Acting on a tip-off, a special squad of the police deployed by the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju seized a tiger skin measuring 6.8 inches in length and 11 inches in width from a room of Himshikhar Guest House in Gongabu VDC-6.
The police also confiscated bones of tiger weighing 2.1 kgs from the rented room of Sitaram Thapa in Handigaun, Kathmandu.
An investigation is underway into the incidents, said the police.
