Cops on the prowl for Dashain menace

KATHMANDU: With the festive season just around the corner, Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu has beefed up security to prevent any untoward incident.
Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kathmandu, Chudamani Sharma and SSP Jaya Bahadur Chand have publicized the plan organising a press conference here in the capital on Monday.
A large number of police personnel including plainclothes cops have been deployed in the capital to implement the plan effectively.
Police have initiated this programme to reduce the crime rates in the festive season compared to last year.
