LALITPUR: Lal Bahadur Budhathoki (28) and his wife Shakala (26)‚ who were found unconscious in a hut on the premises of Sanagagaun-based Om Brick Kiln on Friday night‚ died while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital‚ police said. The couple and Sita Magar (37) were rushed to the Imadol-based KIST Medical College after they were found unconscious in a poorly ventilated room. Magar is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police said they were suspected to have died of hypoxia. Officials said further investigation is on.
Murder suspects held
KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday arrested Kul Bahadur Gharti Magar (27) of Rolpa and Balaram Gharti Magar (30) of Dang on the charge of murdering Sher Bahadur Gharti Magar (35) of Rukum. According to police‚ the two had beaten Sher Bahadur to death after a dispute. The duo had given money to Sher Bahadur to hire brick kiln workers and killed him after he failed to do so‚ police said.
Burglary in City
KATHMANDU: An unidentified gang broke into the rented room of Surendra Khadka in Bijeshwori‚ Kathmandu‚ on Friday and made off with cash and silver ornaments worth Rs 241‚000. According to a complaint lodged with police‚ the gang burgled Rs 187‚000 and silver ornaments from the unattended room. The culprits are at large. —
Bodies recovered
KATHMANDU: Police recovered the bodies of a woman and a newborn in the Capital on Saturday. At a forested area in Gokarna-4‚ police recovered the body of an unidentified woman‚ who appeared to be in her 40s‚ while in Jorpati-4‚ they recovered the body of a baby girl.
