KATHMANDU: In the wake of the announcement of separate gatherings by both the factions of the Unified CPN-Maoist, Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday has urged senior Vice-Chairman Mohan Baidhya and the establishment side to call off both the gatherings through telephone.

Responding to the call, disgruntled Baidhya is said to have told Chairman Dahal that he would take the call to a meeting with his faction members, sources said.

With the intra-party rift at climax, both the factions of the UCPN-M – establishment side and the agitating Baidhya faction – have called the extended plenum and the national conclave on June 29-July 1 and June 15 respectively in order to decide the fate the of the party.
