Dalit leader Bishwakarma no more

KATHMANDU: Former parliamentarian and leader of Dalit movement, Man Bahadur Bishwakarma passed away today.
Bishwakarma who was suffering from kidney related diseases for long breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.Dalit activist Padam Sundas said that final rites of Bishwakarma would be performed today at Pashupati Aryaghat.
Bishwakarma who hails from Parbat district was the member of the then National Assembly after the restoration of democracy in 1990. He was the founder of Samaj Bikas Hostel established for development of Dalit students. Bishwakarma was active in social campaign and journalism as well.
