BANEPA: The general strike enforced by the Danuwar community has made partial impact in Kavre and Sindhupalchowk districts today.
The Danuwar people have enforced market closure from Tinpiple to Panchkhal in Kavre district, calling for carving out ethnic provinces while federating the country.
Similarly, public transport service came to halt in Sindhupalchowk district due to the bandh.
Vehicles operating on long and short routes on the Araniko Highway have stayed off the roads, the District Police Office, Sindhupalchok, stated.
However, the local market is open. Police have been deployed to open the market.
As per statistics, about 15 percent of the population in Panchkhal is Danuwar.
