Devotees throng Taleju temple

KATHMANDU: A large number of devotees have been thronging the Taleju Bhawani Temple at Hanumandhoka since early morning today for worship.
There is a tradition that the temple is only opened for one day for the general public on the ninth day (Nawami) of the Bada Dashain festival.
On this occasion, puja is offered in Dashain Ghars and courtyards and Durga Saptashati scripture is recited.
People have also been thronging today in shrines of Kathmandu valley including Dakshinkali, Guheswori, Maitidevi, Kalikasthan, Naxal Bhagawati, Bhadrakali, Shova Bhagawati, Bijeswori, Indrayani, Raktakali, Nardevi, Bajrayogini, Sankata, and Bajrabarahi on the occasion.
