Sah on December 22 had vandalised three microphones of the Constituent Assembly

JANAKPURDHAM: Madhes Kranti Forum -Nepal(MKF-N) imposed a general strike in Dhanusha district on Thursday to protest the 10-day suspension of lawmaker Sanjay Kumar Sah from the Legisalature-Parliament.

All educational institutions, transport services, industries and shops in the district have been brought to a grinding halt due to the district bandh.

The MFK-N has demanded it leader Sah's suspension withdrawal saying the action, which was taken against lawmaker him, was discriminatory.

Lawmaker Sah on December 22 had aggressively vandalised three microphones of the Constituent Assembly (CA) for not being provided time to him, to speak in the CA by Chairman of the CA, Subash Nembang.

According to Parliament Secretariat, property worth Rs. 300,000 was destroyed in the vandalism and the lawmaker has been suspended for ten days.

The Parliament Secretariat had also decided to recover the amount from the salary of lawmaker Sah.
