LALITPUR: St Xavier’s School is going to celebrate its diamond jubilee on May 6, the school said. The programme will have President Ram Baran Yadav as chief guest. St Xavier’s School, located in Godavari and Jawalakhel, is being run by Nepal Jesuit Society. Fr Boniface Tigga SJ, regional Superior of the society said the schools were committed to quality education. The Jesuits are currently running four schools, a college, two social organisations and eight mobile clinics, across the country. Fr Tigga said the society was working to establish a school in Dhading district soon.

Valuables stolen

BHAKTAPUR: Cash and gold jewellery were stolen from the house of Ramhari Adhikari in Bhaktapur, Duwakot on Sunday morning, police said. Burglars had broken into the house while it was away and fled with cash and jewellery worth Rs 4.70 lakh.
