DishHome‚ NSJF extend deal

KATHMANDU: Dish Media Network Pvt Ltd today extended the sponsorship deal with Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) for the Pulsar Sports Award slated for July 4 at the Nepal Academy Hall.

NSJF President Niranjan Rajbanshi and Dish Media Chief Executive Officer Rabindra Man Shrestha signed the Memorandum of Understanding to extend the deal. As per the agreement, Dish Media will provide Rs 200,000 to the NSJF apart from free installation of the DishHome DTH Smartbox to the winners of the eight categories and five lucky SMS voters of the Popular Player of the Year category.

In return, the umbrella association of the Nepali sports journalists will promote DishHome as the co-sponsor of the Award. Dish Media CEO Shrestha thanked the NSJF for providing the platform as the partner of the Sports Award. “We are happy to be a part of this mega function for the third successive year,” said Shrestha.

Shrestha said both the parties were in win-win situation with the tie-up. “The award function has been playing crucial role in the promotion of DishHome and at the same thime the audiences from the remote parts of the country are able to view the ceremony through DishHome,” said Shrestha.

The much-awaited sports award honours sports personalities in eight different categories — Male, Female, Youth, Coach, Lifetime Achievement, Special, Para-Athlete and Popular Player. NSJF have already announced the nominees in the Popular category, to be decided by SMS voting. THT LIVE 3131 is the official voting partner of the Award. Nominees in remaining four categories — Male, Female, Youth and Coach — will be announced soon, informed NSJF President Rajbanshi.

The best male and female players will get Pulsar motorcycle each, while winners in six other categories will get Rs 30,000 each apart from gift hampers from Samsung and Timex.
