District Ayurvedic hospital struggles without medicines

RUKUM: Services at Rukum District Ayurvedic Hospital have been affected due to lack of medicines for two months. Patients complained that they were deprived of treatment facilities due to the lack of medicines.
Total number of health workers, a doctor and five Ayurvedic Health Assistants, have taken home leave due to lack of medicines in the hospital.
Presently, peons have been running the hospital. The peons said that none has taken initiative to bring the required medicines at the hospital.
Locals of Rukum, Salyan and Jajarkot arrive in the hospital for services.
However, district administration office said that activities of the Ayurvedic hospital are less reported as the hospital was far from the district headquarters.
