Dixit nominated for Nai Khara Sukriti Award

KATHMANDU: Senior journalist Madan Mani Dixit has been nominated for the Nai Khara Sukriti Award, 2012.
A meeting of the Nai Publications Board of Directors on Saturday presided over by chairperson Indira Prasai nominated Dixit for the award.
Publication's member-secretary Narendra Raj Prasai said the meeting also decided to honour five various personalities including Dixit with the Nai Khara Award.
Those nominated are writer Shyam Das Baishnav for the 'Nai Khara Pradipti Award' carrying a purse of Rs. 50,000 i; Kumar Thapa for the 'Nai Khara Suravi Award' also carrying a purse of Rs. 50,000; singer Ani Chhoying Dolma for the 'Nai Khara Gaurab Award' carrying a purse of Rs. 25,000; and journalist Prasun Singh for the 'Nai Khara Paurakh Award' carrying a purse of Rs. 15,000.
Thapa is being awarded for making contribution to raising social awareness despite being a blind himself. Award nominees Dolma is a famous singer while Singh is the current title-holder of Miss Tarai Beuty Queen.
The awards would be presented on May 4.
