KATHMANDU: Doctors, professors, students and employees of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) and the Institute of Medicine (IoM) today staged an hour-long sit-in in front of the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar.
The demonstration was organised to press the government to appoint TUTH and IoM officials without delay.
The protesters demanded to make the government fill up vacancies. The post of dean, assistant deans and campus chief have been lying vacant for long.
Meanwhile, a group of around 200 medical professional handed over memorandum to PM's personal secretariat representative Jagannath Acharya, said Prof. Dr. Modnath Marahattha.
