KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Monday directed the government to take action against government employees, teachers and other civil servants who flout government dress code. CIAA submitted a letter to the government through the Chief Secretary seeking action against those flouting the code. The government annually pays Rs 7,500 to each civil servant as dress allowance.

Kathmandu: Police today raided the New Road-based Classic Hotel and arrested Pakistani nationals Mohammad Bimullah and Sohil Mohammad and Basir Miya of Bara with huge amount of with fake Indian currency notes. Police recovered face bank notes worth INR 2.95 million from the hotel room where the three had been living.

Kathmandu: Former Foreign Secretary Madhu Raman Acharya today released a book titled ‘Building Bridges and Promoting People to People Interaction in South Asia’. The compilation of research-oriented works of eight experts, including Nihal Rodrigo, former secretary general of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation and seven other experts, covers aspects of South Asia and beyond.
