Drive against home-made liquor

PARSA: The Parsa police has launched a campaign against the production and supply of hooch in the Birgunj Municipality area.
The police have decided to launch a drive against the home-made liquor produced illegally, following the increasing number of illegal production houses in the municipality area, said the District Police Office Parsa.
It is a crime to produce and supply alcohol without acquiring license, said the Office.
Meanwhile, police here has destroyed 1,000 liters of illegal liquor seized from different parts in the Municipality in the last twenty four hours, said DPO Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra KC.
As per the legal provision, one has to take license from the respective Inland Revenue Office to operate the liquor business.
