KATHMANDU: Two unidentified persons on Monday rendered Dankumari Chyamani (52) unconscious after offering her a soft drink laced with sedatives and made off with one tola of gold ring and half tola of gold chain from Sundhara.

The incident took place at around 5:30 pm yesterday.

They left her at Baluwatar in an unconscious condition.

Similarly, unidentified persons on a black motorbike snatched a gold chain weighing one tola from Narudevi Ojha (49) of Amargadhi municipality, Dadeldhura district currently residing at Thapagaun at around 2:30 yesterday.

The snatchers are on the run.

A manhunt for the culprits and further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
