KATHMANDU: Laxmi Intercontinental’s — the sole authorised distributor of Hyundai Motors in Nepal — appointed dealer for Kailali, Dinesh 4 Wheels has started the sale of Hyundai EON in Dhangadi. The start of the EON sale was inaugurated by the chief district officer of Kailali Kailash Kumar Bajimaya. During the launch, managing director of Dinesh 4 Wheels Shyam Hamal handed the keys to the first buyer of EON Delite+ Madan Bhatta. The Hyundai EON comes with free insurance coverage of one year and is available in four variants like EON Delite, EON Delite+, EON Era+ and EON Sportz, the company said in a press note, adding that the price has been fixed at Rs 1.39 million, Rs 1.52 million, Rs 1.62 million, and Rs 1.85 million, respectively. The 814cc EON gives maximum power of 46 PS and its mileage stands at 21.1 km per litre as approved by Automotive Research Association of India, it claimed.

NIBL’s home loan

KATHMANDU: Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) has launched a new loan scheme, ‘Housing Loan’, at an interest rate of 10.5 per cent per annum for loans of up to Rs 10 million for 15 years on EMI basis. The loan can be availed through all NIBL branches for buying property, it said. The commercial bank regularly comes up with innovative products and services to satisfy the financial needs of its customers, said the bank that was the first to launch an innovative saving scheme of Re 1. It operates through a strong network of 41 branches and 68 ATMs across the country. The bank has also received the prestigious ‘Bank of the Year’ award four times, in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2010.

Premier holds AGM

KATHMANDU: Premier Insurance Co hosted its 18th annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday. The AGM approved the financial report for fiscal year 2010-11. During the fiscal, the company had collected insurance premiums worth Rs 160.80 million and had earned a net profit worth Rs 10.88 million, it said in a press note. The company, during fiscal year 2010-11, paid an income tax amounting to Rs 10.04 million and VAT worth Rs 20.18 million. The AGM appointed Kedar Narayan Manadhar and Madan Krishna Shrestha as new board members representing shareholders. The company has been providing insurance services through its head office in Naxal and from regional offices in Birgunj, Pokhara, Narayanghat, Butwal, Birtamod and Janakpur.

Tinau’s seventh

KATHMANDU: Tinau Bikash Bank has opened its seventh branch at Makar-7, Jimirebhar of Nawalparasi district. The branch was inaugurated by Nepal Rastra Bank’s branch manager of Siddharthanagar branch Bhuwan Kadel amid a function. The opening ceremony was conducted under the leadership of the development bank’s chairman Rajendra Prasad Bhajha. The branch collected deposits worth Rs 10 million from 500 locals, it said in a press note. —
