KATHMANDU: Minister for Education Ganga Lal Tuladhar said the Ministry of Education (MoE) is committed to implement the cabinet decision to declare education sector the peace zone.


Minister Tuladhar expressed the commitment with the delegates of 'Children Peace Zone and Children Protection National Campaign'. The team congratulated the government for the declaration and urged to issue guidelines for the implementation.


The government is aware that different banda, strikes, and political programmes hamper the students' rights to learn saying that their right to be informed should be preserved.


The cabinet meeting held on May 25 had decided to declare the education sector the peace zone.


On the occasion, Campaign's chairman Tarak Dhital, Child Nepal's chairman Krishna Subedi thanked the government for the declaration and said the campaign. They said campaign to make the schools the peace zone has been effective while submitting the memorandum.


Joint-secretary at the ministry Mahashram Sharma ensured to address the demands holding wide discussion over them.
