KATHMANDU: Minister for Environment and Population, Hemraj Tated has urged the stakeholders concerned to be serious towards climate change as the nation was sure to bear heavy loss due to the effects of global climate change.
Speaking at an interaction on 'Global Climate Change and Nepal's Role', Minister Tated said stopping deforestation is the first step to save the nation from the climate change effects.
Minister Tated stressed on disseminating information about climate change effects among public by creating awareness over the effects in human life and the ecosystem.
He said deforestation should be controlled as the climate change effects could bring changes in weather condition and would decrease land's fertility.
