Reading is like a journey which never ends. It is as interesting as travelling to different places. The best thing about reading is that it develops our knowledge and intelligence. As our body needs food for maintenance and survival, our mind also needs food and that food is obtained by reading different books. Reading extra books expands the boundary of knowledge and help to decorate one’s
personality.
When I was in Class VIII, one of the teachers always said that we must not always depend on course books if our ambition is to rise high. He told us that world’s great leaders and personalities had read different extra books which made them extraordinary. Since, then I have started reading extra books. Especially, I read inspirational books, biographies of great personalities, dramas, et cetera.
Reading books has become fun for me. Whenever, I get leisure time I immediately start to explore in the world of reading. Reading books and analysing is one of the common habits among great personalities. If we have a dream of being great one day then obviously, we must have the habit of reading books and analysing skills.
We all know about the great leader Nelson Mandela, who fought for the rights of deprived Negros. When he was struggling for the Negros, he was imprisoned for long time. During that period in prison, he read different books and gained lots of knowledge and ideas which empowered him to fight for the betterment of Negros.
If world’s great leaders and personalities read different books to motivate themselves to support their goals and aims, then, why should we waste our time being idle? So, friends let’s choose a book of our taste and explore the ocean of knowledge.
