FM Pun warns protest if Prez acts beyond constitution

BIRATNAGAR: Minister for Finance Barshaman Pun has warned that Nepalis would move to street for protest if the President acted beyond constitutional limit.
Speaking briefly with the media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Tuesday, he claimed that the President could not take any decision on his own but abided by political consensus.
He accused the President of breaching constitution by sending back the bills the government recommended for authentication regarding the fresh CA elections.
President can't change government without political consensus, he said, adding that unity among political parties was a must as the country was seeing crisis.
Finance Minister Pun said Nepali Congress could lead the next consensus government if the NC and the CPN-UML implemented the five-point pact in letter and spirit, otherwise present government would be continued.
