FNJ felicitates journalists

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists on Thursday recognised the contribution of various mediapersons to the Nepali press, on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day. The felicitated mediapersons include chairman of the Editors’ Society Devendra Gautam; Baidhya Nath Jha, former president of FNJ-Dhanusha and political analyst Dil Sahani with the Press Freedom Fighter title. Former FNJ-Dhanusha president Umesh Shah received the Uma Singh National Journalism Award, which carries a purse of Rs 10,000, FNJ central member Pratap Bista received the Nepal America Journalist Association Award. On the occasion, Biratnagar-based journalist Jagadish Sharma got the Krishna Prasad Bhattarai Journalist Award, which carries a purse of one lakh rupees and a citation.
