KATHMANDU: Due to the incessant bandh in the Far-West region, most of the districts in the region have been reeling under an acute shortage of daily essentials as the strike entered the ninth consecutive day on Saturday.
The price of foodstuff, vegetables, and medicines has been hiked in Bajura, Bajghang and Accham district due to the continuous bandh.
In Kailai and Kanchhanpur, gas dealers have been running out of cooking gas.
Meanwhile, those who are stranded have been spending days and nights hoping for the resumption of vehicles.
Stranded people are even running out of money.
Reporters confirmed that Bandh enforcers have been demonstrating since early morning demanding undivided Far-West.
Market places, industries, education institutions, banks, financial institutions have downed their shutters today also.
