LALITPUR: The football tournaments under the AFC U-14 Festival of Football continued here at the ANFA Complex on Sunday with Nepali teams winning three and drawing one. Nepal-I thrashed Bhutan-II 6-0 before they were held to a goalless draw by India-I. Nepal-II, meanwhile, eased to 3-0 victory over Bhutan-II before crushing Sri Lanka-II 4-0. In other matches, India-I beat Sri Lanka-I 1-0 and India-II lost to Bangladesh-I – who were held goalless by Bhutan-I – 1-0. Bangladesh-II cruised past Sri Lanka-II 4-0. Sri Lanka-I eased past Bhutan-II 3-0.

C Div League Qualifier

KATHMANDU: Sitapakha Nava Yuva Club, Dholahiti Youth Club and Planning Boys Club won their respective matches of the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull ‘C’ Division League Qualifier here on Sunday. A solitary goal from Dinesh Pun Magar gave Sitapakha a 1-0 victory over Babule Rai Samaj. Mila Magarati and Binoj Rai scored one each as Dholahiti edged Shree Amar Singh Adarsha Club 2-1. Suraj Thapa replied for the losing side. In the last match, Planning Boys rallied from a goal down to beat Dynamite Sports Club 2-1 with a brace from Binod Karki after Bijaya Thapa had given Dynamite the lead.
