KATHMANDU: Some parts of Kathmandu valley today faced disruption in internet connection after the fibre link in Kupondole, Lalitpur was damaged due to construction work there.
It took more than half a day to fix the problem, said president of the Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal Binay Bohora. Generally, a disruption in
fibre in one part affects other parts if an alternative connection is not ensured, said Bohora.
The connection of some internet service providers including the likes of Mercantile and Worldlink was disturbed due to the damage in the fibre line, Bohora further added.
Internet users in Kupondole, Anamnagar and Thapathali along with some other parts of Kathmandu valley faced problems due to the damage.
