Fire destroys 30 houses in Kapilvastu

KATHMANDU: As many as 30 houses have been destroyed when fire engulfed them at Korahariya village in Kapilvastu on Saturday afternoon.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepali Army personnel with the help of locals are engaged in dousing the fire. It is learnt that the fire is still out of control as the westerly wind is blowing ceaselessly further raging it, said Area Police In charge, Khorahariya Inspector Dil Bahadur Magar.
Firefighters have been a far-cry for the locals to avail as they are gathering dust in Krishnanagar municipality due to malfunction, a source said.
