Fire in UML office

RAJBIRAJ: An unidentified group set fire to the CPN-UML’s Rajbiraj-based district party office in Saptari on Monday night. District party chief Govind Neupane said the fire had destroyed the office’s door when he went there on Tuesday morning. Party cadres said a police station is about 50 metres away from the scene. The UML party has demanded investigation into the incident.
Lightning kills one
BIRATNAGAR: One person was killed and two were critically injured after lightening struck them in Biratnagar on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Fagadevi Yadav (32). Yadav’s husband Rajdev and two-year-old son Ganga, who were critically injured in the incident, are receiving treatment at the Koshi Zonal Hospital. Meanwhile, waves of strong storms ripped roofs off dozens of houses in Biratnagar. Strong winds uprooted more than 12 electricity poles in sub-metropolis.
