Flood claims two in Gorkha

GORKHA: Two persons died and one has gone missing in the flood and landslide triggered by incessant rainfall in Gorkha on Monday night.

Ballu Thapa of Nareshwor, Anpchaur was found dead after being swept away by the flood in Daraundi River. Inspector Sunil Jung Shah informed that police rescued his body from the river this morning.

Similarly, Dil Bahadur Ale of Maparithumi died when he was buried by the landslide at night in Dharapani-based shed. He was asleep in the shed when landslide fell upon him, informed Arughat Area Police Office Inspector Puspa Malla.

Likewise, Tika Bahadur Ale (51) of Dhunwakot who was fishing in Daraundi River has gone missing after he was swept away by the flood. Local Tej Bahadur Thapa said that there was no trace of him after the whole day search.

In the same way, Subina Gurung of Aruarbang, Devisthan, has been injured when landslide buried her yesterday night. Locals took her to local health post for treatment after rescue.
