KATHMANDU: Four Nepali nationals have been arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Friday for allegedly robbing a house in Prabhat Colony in Santacruz, a section of the municipality of Mumbai.
The arrestees have been identified as Vimal Shahi 25, Sonu Karki 32, Prem Thappa 32 and Mangal Shahi.
Vimal was the watchman of the building where the robbery took place.
According to The Indian Express, Vimal along with his accomplices broke into the house and escaped with gold, diamonds and cash worth Rs 14.96 lakh.
However, Mumbai Police nabbed them from Bandra Terminus upon the information that they would board a train and flee to Nepal.
Valuables worth Rs 3.25 lakh were recovered from their possession, Mumabi Police said.
