BHAKTAPUR: Galaxy Public School defeated Greenland Children Academy by four wickets in the fifth CoAS Cup Running Cricket Tournament here at the Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyala grounds today.
Electing to bat first, GCA made a mediocre 105-5 in their allotted 20 overs. Galaxy, in reply, cruised to the victory total in just 12.3 overs losing six wickets. Pasang Sherpa led Galaxy charge with a 31-ball 35 that included four hits to the fence. Nirayan Baral remained unbeaten on 21, while Suyoj Tamrakar was the next best contributor with 20 runs.
Earlier, man-of-the-match Inaf Subedi’s fine bowling display helped Galaxy restrict GCA to a low total. Subedi took 4-12 from four overs making GCA struggle throughout their innings. Dipendra Shah top scored for GCA with 19 runs, while Amrit Thapa (17) and Sanjeev Ghising (15) were other batsmen to make runs in double figures.
Srijan Prasai (1-19) took the other GCA wicket to fall. In the first match on Sunday, Nepal Police HS School will take on Learning Realm International and Rajan Memorial will be up against NK Singh Memorial EPS.
