"17 participants undergoing training for the coveted crown"

KATHMANDU: Amidst the ongoing training of 17 young contestants who are competing for the Pashupati Paints Luxuria The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2012, a press conference was called on April 19 at Hotel de l’Annapurna.

Addressing the journalists, Subarna Chhetri, Advisor of The Hidden Treasure informed, “This is the 17th edition of Miss Nepal, and for the first time, we have decided to have the pageant outdoors.”

The grand finale will be held at the poolside garden of Annapurna on May 6.

As per Chhetri, the philosophy of The Hidden Treasure is to let the contestants go out with confidence, proper mindset and independence at the end of the pageant. “We would be happy if we achieve this philosophy,” he expressed.

Twenty-four contestants had been selected initially, but 17 contestants are going through the training. Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati, Chairperson of The Hidden Treasure said, “We had shortlisted the contestants from 24 to 20, but there are 17 contestants undergoing training.” Kakshapati also shared, “The winner will get Rs 50,000 cash prize along with a Hero Honda-Pleasure Scooter, while the first runner-up would receive Rs 35,000 cash prize and second runner-up Rs 25,000 cash prize.”

Apart from these, there will be six other titles and the winner of each tittle would win a cash prize Rs 10,000 each.

The press meet also saw the presence of Upaul Majumdar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hotel de l’Annapurna, Kumar Dipendra Sagar, National Sales Manager of Johnson and Johnson, and Shakti Begani, Chairperson of Shree Ganapati Jewellers.
