KATHMANDU: Education Minister Dinanath Sharma has said the government is ready to take all possible steps to maintain the quality education in the country.
Speaking at a programme organised by the Nepal National Guardians' Association to honour students and schools securing the top marks in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations- 2068 BS here on Saturday, Sharma said though pass results in the examinations were less than of the previous years, quality of education has not gone down.
The Education Minister underlined the need of a partnership between the community and private schools to achieve the best results in the education sector.
On the occasion, SLC toppers including Arun Kalikote (Bal Kalyan Vidhya Mandir, Morang) and Arati Shrestha (Mahendra Bidhyashram Bhaktapur) were feted.
