The Court also drew the attention of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority to take appropriate action against such staff.
Responding to cases against District Forest Officers of Bara and Daduldhura Mohan Koirala and Dhanichandra Thakuri respectively, the court issued the stricture in the name of the authorities.
The Court also said it found massive deforestation in Dadeldhura, Kailali, Banke, Bardiya, Sarlahi, Sindhuli, Terhathum, Nawalparasi and Panchthar and action was required against culprits. The bench also concluded that bureaucrats involved in such offence enjoyed political protection.
